MPCC Mk III and 600D, M48 or M42 T-Ring?

Hi, quick question...

When using a 1.6 crop DSLR with the MPCC Mk III is there any benefit in using the M48 mounting or just stick with the M42?

I have both sizes of T-ring so would like to know if it's worth getting the spacer ring to use the M48 thread.
