The UCLAN course.

I took a succession of their courses a while back including the one called Great Astronomers in History. It takes a year and is excellent value, well taught and entirely rewarding. I think it may have changed a little since then but I'm sure it will still be great. My only regret is that it stops at the start of the twentieth century and I wish they'd offer a follow-up course in 20th century astronomy history since there was such an explosion in understanding once the interior of the atom became available to scrutiny and the astrophysicist was born.

Although I took the course about thirteen years ago I'll be glad to try to answer any questions about it.
