12/21/2015 - Oracle, Arizona - seeing good - trans fair (scatt. H.T.’s) - obs. good

20x80 Binoculars on P-Mount 

Sol Invictus - Granulation evident at times - nice spot west of center of disk, with a tiny spot just northeast of it - a moderate amount of faculae along western limb - extensive area of faculae on eastern limb - looks like a pair of spots are just creeping over the eastern limb.

Nice report. I spotted two plage areas on the east in H-alpha. Something new must be coming round the corner
