Telementor Lens Cap

Every once in awhile you stumble across a non astronomy item that fits the bill for a part that is unavailable. 

Today my Wife took out some seasonal candles which she bought awhile back. I noticed one in particular, which had stars on its glass container.  Upon closer inspection, I found that the nicely chromed lid had a U-shaped silicone ring glued into it, to grip the edge of the glass candle holder. I thought that's impressive for just a candle cover.  When I measured it, it looked like it would work for a 60mm scope ?

The cap turned out to be a " perfect " fit for the objective end of our Telementor, and better than the original. 

My Mrs. said she bought the candle at Sainsbury's.
