Heritage 100P

A friend has asked me if this telescope would be a worthy investment for her father as a surprise Christmas present?

He is early 60s, in good health, lives in a moderately light polluted town, does own a pair of binoculars (not sure what size) and we are not sure if he uses them for astronomy or not. We are also not sure what he already knows about the night sky. The budget is £80 tops, ideally cheaper.

I have no experience of this scope hence asking for advice. I will send my mate the link so she can follow any comments.

Sounds like a good little starter scope
