Canon 1100D or 100D?

Quick question - Canon EOS 1100D or 100D for deep sky astrophotography?

I already have a modded 1100D but I´m having some trouble with it. While trying to fix that I thought I´d get another (cheap) camera and have it modded.

I have the choice between two demo cameras:

EOS 1100D for 160 Euros

EOS 100D for 295 Euros.

What would you do? I know the 1100D is regarded as good for AP, but I´ve seen very good photos with the 100D as well. The 18Mp would be nice since I like big prints but is it really worth the extra cash?

I've used both, modded. I don't think there is a lot to choose between them, for that difference in price I'd definitely go for the 1100D. The 100D may produce a little less noise but its battery life is much shorter.

I only use AC/DC-adapters, so battery life is not an issue.
