Looks Like I Will Be Out Of Action For A While.

The weather for the next week or so looks good so I am planning:-

1. Remove the old obs

2. Extend the existing concrete base

3. Erect new obs - this is being made in sections by a local shed maker so I can put it together

4. Add all the interior stuff - electrics , shelves , flooring etc.

5. Install new EQ6 mount

6. Install new scope on mount

7. Start testing and taking images

Not sure how long this will take but I need more room so the old obs has to go. Will post some images as I go along. Here's hoping it all goes OK.

Good luck with the work John.

Thanks , KK. I think a bit of luck is usually needed when you start these type of jobs. I have tested the EQ6 mount and it seems to work fine. But I have not yet put it under the stress of autoguiding and imaging.
