How to use a camera with my telescope? Please help

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am wishing to use my camera with my telescope hopefully without taking it apart. I was hopong to get some advice regarding this. Thank you for your help with my query. My telescope is a sky watcher Explorer 130m Newtonian Reflector, and my camera is a Samsung digital zoom lens st61.

There are brackets you can get to hold a camera against an eyepiece, they look something like this:

Alternatively you can just hold the camera against the eyepiece, shots of the Moon taken this way sometimes come out surprisingly well. If using auto settings the trick is to ensure the Moon fills a good portion of the field of view, by either choosing a higher powered eyepiece or the zoom control on the camera. Planets are also possible but will require manual exposure settings.
