My first attempt at a colour-synthesised DSO. My LRGBs still havent arrived so I'm stuck with narrowband:

post-31110-0-00518100-1441993216_thumb.p

This is 10x300sec Luminance, 10x600sec Ha (7nm) and 10x600sec OIII (13nm)

  • 115mm TS Photo-Line triplet APO
  • Baader Ha, Astronomik OIII filters
  • QSI 583wsg
  • Lodestar autoguider

I'm using Luminance as the green channel and multiplying the other two to compensate, producing a pseudo-RGB image...

Would someone with experience please advise me how to blend RGB with the Luminance data? I am using AstroArt Trichromy which can align the RGB channels but I have no idea how to use Luminance data.
