August 31, 2015: Glorious sunshine in Malta

I am on a conference trip to Malta, and managed to take the SolarMax 60 mm in hand luggage. The carbon tripod and mini-giro head went into check-in luggage. I have had my first sweltering look at the sun, with predictably bad seeing, but still a very nice sight. Still lots of filaments, and some plage regions seem to be heating up. Maybe tomorrow will show more fireworks.
