Am I right that the Pinpoint/ModelMaker combination basically does the job automatically?

No, at the moment it is Pinpoint/Modelmaker/MaximDL that work in combination with each other. The new version will remove the dependancy on MaximDL for image capture (as far as I know anyway).

Just to clarify, the combination of Maxim/Pinpoint/Model Maker does the job automatically and you can do this during twilight, so no lost time imaging.

As Per has indicated to me that sometime in October ModelMaker won't require Pinpoint or Maxim I'm going to hang on until then.

Just where would we be without him??

Well Per has certainly helped! My router didn't work at first at Kelling and I did a short 7 point model using the point telescope here command in Maxim, all manual!
