cjdawson
I made my own dew heater several years ago, whilst not the cheapest way to do it, it's worked very reliably and doesn't pull any more power that it really needs, so it efficient to use. Here's the link to the version 1 project that I did for this.http://astronomy.cjdawson.com/projects/DewHeater.htmlAnd here's the version 2http://astronomy.cjdawson.com/projects/PowerBox.html#NewHeatingElementThe heating element is version 2 is the only heater that I'm using these days, and it lives on the scope as a permanent fitting. It uses the same circuit as the version 1 box.I'm currently working on a version 3 project, which I'm planning on making the heater dual channel - I have 2 PWM circuits, and will solve sort out other power distribution as well. There's nothing stopping you from making a heating element for a finder, eyepieces or anything else for that matter.
