Polar alignment vs 8° latitude

Hi there

I live in a place with a low latitude on southern hemisphere, and its almost impossible to see the SCP. So, a polar scope is out of question. Is there another quick way to align? I only have seeing to the zenith and 35º east.

What mount do you have?

If you have a skywatcher one with goto, you could do a handset polar alignment routine.

Its a eq3-2, non goto...

you can do a drift alignment, that's what i do here because i can't see the scp too.
