The builders have gone and I have a clean dust free environment again. Spent several hours last week viewing the sun and had some good viewing but it was rather hot at times. Decided to hold off buying the Quark until the  2nd - 3rd October astronomy show in Warwickshire, last year Daystar had a stall there so I can have a chat with them.

In the mean time I brought a ZWO 120mm-s camera and attach my first attempt at the surface of the sun, with my Lunt LS60 PT 1200 BF  using Firecapture- Registax6 and Photoshop. Had a go at the Proms but have not got the hang of altering the gain to get a clear image. sun surface.bmp
