Burgess Optical / TMB Planetary Eyepiece

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how these eyepieces generally perform in a f4.8 Newt, more specifically i'm looking at the 4mm TMB Planetary Eyepiece to use in my 10" for close views of the moon, saturn and jupiter.

I've got the TS Planetary HR versions of these (the 5mm and 4mm) which are more or less identical to the TMB / Burgess versions and I'm very impressed by them. Admittedly my dob is F/5.9 so it might not be as critical as your 10 inch.

I've posted some notes on them in the reviews section.

Hi there, I've got the Burgess/TMB 4mm in my 200mm f6. I have to say that when seeing permits, it's an absolute stunner !! Crisp throughout the fov and a joy to use. Love to have a 5mm or 6mm too as I'm likely to get a great deal more use. On the moon it's magnificent, LOW ORBIT type stuff.
