CGEM 9.25

Hi All, Just wondered what peoples thoughts are on the current price of the Celestron CGEM 9.25 ?

In the Celestron summer promotion its currently £1699. this seems like a lot of scope/mount for the money, a 9.25 and a HEQ5 pro would be £1994

also the CGEM 8"SCT only £1399

What are the CGEM's like as a mount?

What do you want to do with it? Some things it will do well, some it won't do at all - seen as a package.

Sorry I should have explained a bit more..... I'm thinking of using the 9.25 cgem for visual and planetary imaging and then later for deep sky but with a 130 pds and dslr. This will keep the set up light for dso imaging as I think the payload for the cgem is 18kg The scope will be an upgrade from my dob and allow me to do deep sky when ready. At the sale price the mount works out at around £450.

I assume the cgem is placed inbetween the Heq5 pro and neq6 ?
