Will it fit?

I'm considering upgrading my skywatcher 10" dob for the more substantial 16" version.  I'm confident the weight of it will not be an issue for me but I'm more concerned with whether it will fit in my car (VW Golf).  Has anyone got one here and would be able to advise me on the practicalities of transporting such a large scope.  I know all the weights and dimensions are available on the SW website but I don't want to buy a scope I can't transport.
