I'm also a newcomer to the hobby and don't know why I didn't get into it earlier! I recently got the chance to go out to a country sky with a pair of good binoculars (still in the scope - researching stage here) and found the Corona Borealis and Arcturus, and had a blast just watching our universe. I also spotted a total of four sattelites, all heading in different directions. I'm amazed by the night sky. It's so rewarding.
