Solar Images with the PST80 - 11th April 2008

Taken around midday, and the AR seemed to be undergoing a minor outburst, watching it live.. (brightened up quite a bit)

The prom had also changed shape from Pete's earlier image....but again very pleased with what the PST80 is delivering.

To counter that.....

Just picked up the Televue NP127 scope to fit these two SF70 filters to (Double stack system), which Ken Hugget sent over for review.

Be a very interesting comparison to make against the PST80. From Pete's (starman's) first image, the resolution possibilities are immense with the SF70

Anyway back to the PST80

First image is from today (11th April) showing the new AR (SC24), second image is the prom set from a few days back with the surface added, third image is today's proms only with the Sun cut out...some people like these..

Seeing today was "poor/average" at best for me
