my first ever astro image

ok so it's a bit blurred and not very good but it was done just holding the camera up to the ep. and one shot lol.

so yeah i was wondering if anyone could process this to get any more detail out of it or to sharpen it a bit.

Hi, I'm no expert, but the focus looks a little out, could be being handheld ? What camera was it ? I've removed the noise using the Noiseware community edition last one on this list.

well it looks smoother, thanks for the effort, i don't know where to start myself.

erm the cam is a JD, C3.1LCD no idea what that all means.

yah was handheld but only found out this morning was on manual setting not auto and i forgot to set the exposure time etc.

You've got the Sea of Crises on that one, a great start! My first image wasn't even recognisable.

To be honest I don't think there is an awful lot of detail to be drawn out other than along the terminator. I think jgs001 has got it about right. Don't be disappointed though as what it may lack in fine detail really makes it a good 'mood' image in my opinion.

thanks CW, wow didn't know there was that much in there, loads of craters etc.

yeah is a bit moody looks like cheese, was some fog over though which contributed i think.

so what did you do to get all that detail mate?

CW - nice edit there, you have pulled out a lot of hidden detail!
