Hi everyone,

as I was reading various threads this morning I got to think about the wealth of knowledge, both practical and theoretical that is here on SGL.  Similar to other sites globally of course.

With some of the posed questions though it seems that many of us could benefit from having a list of different types of resources for our interests - both astronomy and microscopy to check up as well.  So, my question is, would it be feasible to have a pinned thread devoted to recommended resources such as texts for DIY, imaging, equipment, catalogues/charts etc?  There could also be a section specifically for astronomy/microscopy websites.

I realise that the potential is there for controversy regarding usefulness and applicability, but that too might be beneficial? 

Please let me know if this is already on the site - I'm still a vacuum!)
