Skywatcher Evostar 150 Help

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, i saw a Skywatcher Evostar 150 (Newer black and white model) online for a ridiculous price (150), so i had to take a punt. On first inspection the tube, main lens and everything is in really nice clean condition, the focuser looks hardly worn at all.

However, there is a fair bit of slop in the focuser. I can move the eyepeice holder a few mm either way, up and down. This doesnt seem right to me. I have no manual, cant find one online and i am worried there may be a few little bits missing, although there may not be!

Is there a way to remove this slop in the focuser, which apears to move smoothly and lovely...but with some noticeable wiggle along the focus tube.

Anyone know for a manual or user guide?

Thanks.

Hi, there are small grub screws on the top of the focuser where the locking screw is, they are very small allen screw type screws, you can adjust them to tighten the tube up, adjust them in turn and that should do the trick.
