Xunil Posted April 7, 2008 Share Posted April 7, 2008 Here's a thought, no ideas if its feasible (or if I've posted this in the right place for that matter...)A new kind of scope for imagers:How about a long, thin mirror, or even some kind of polished wire, arranged with a secondary of some sort that works by either moving the mirror along it's axis or rotating the thing to make a "scanning" telescope (probably a combination of both) - a bit like the scanners we use to scan A4. A very large aperture might be possible while keeping the cost down for imagers, as the scanning side itself could be used to take the image.If anyone takes this idea and runs with it, I want credit as inventor Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
