Processing RYB quick question

Recommended Posts

Hi all, once you have stacked your RGB sub's in Deep Sky Stacker or equivalent do you then convert straight away into a single RGB image and then process that image and it's RGB channels where required or process the separate R,G and B images and then combine them into the RGB composite for final tweaking?

I'm pretty sure it's the former method but needed to check!

Evening Bob, I combine the three unstretched channels as a single RGB file and start the processing on that. I always run HLVG on the image before anything else and then start the stretching.

Hope you are out under these clear skies - it's nigh on perfect in Marlborough!

Good stuff.

I knew I was tempting fate by saying it was 'nigh on perfect' and sure enough, half an hour later the cloud rolled in and I decided to call it a night. Still, four hours of tasty subs in the bag!

Look forward to seeing whatever it is you are processing!
