Guide Scope

I'm away next week in my caravan hope to get some clear skys - just bought a guide scope - one question - how do you focus it theres no focuser

What is the guide scope in question?

If a finder scope, can usually rotate the dew shield part, and once achieved lock it in place with the other ring next to it. Also can alter how much you slide the guide camera i to or out of the finder scope, but depends on how you are attaching the camera to the finder scope.

If a normal refractor use the focuser,

I'll be using prime focus so think adjusting the dew shield - presume once done itll not need touching again

Focus will vary with altitude, atmospheric conditions etc, but as to how important that is, is possibly debatable.
