alro
AE posh plugs? Do they just go in the diagnal for storage, or if you have the diagnol attached to your scope for storage.Or dont i need one and i have got it all wrong.al
ronl
Basically they are just a dust cap for the focus tube that the eyepiece goes in, it replaces the dust cap that came with the scope.
ghostdance
I bought one for dirt, sucker for bling as I am...it's nice-looking, pretty heavy as all metal, but not anything I'd consider necessary...nor does it improve on a plastic one. Just looks nice. That's it as far as I can see...
ronin
I have or had about 5 or 6 of them. They look good but ultimately they are just a bung/plug for where the eyepiece goes.Red ones are nice, the gold is not overly bright, the silver ones not overly impressive. But as said they are solid and do the job well.If the price suits then as they are a chunk of aluminium and anodised not a bad addition, certainly looks better then the plastic item that is in most bits.Used to buy them when I visited ScopenSkies at their Ely shop. Will say I can find 3 at present and I know I had a 2" one so they are hiding somewhere.
