Orion and Running Man Feb 2015

With some amazingly still winter skies here on the west coast I thought I'd take advantage and image Orion with my Stellarvue SV80ED. For what this scope sells for it is truly amazing.

Over 5.5 hours in light frames here over 2 nights

40 - 5 sec

40 - 30 sec

40 - 120 sec

40 - 300 sec

@ ISO 800

80 dark frames total (20 each sub group)

100 bias frames

Love the dust and detail that showed up. Let me know what you think.

Excellent image Leveye, never noticed the dark dust cloud under the running man before now.

Well done.

Kenny

Thank you sir. Yes I agree. I'm noticing a lot of reflection nebulosity around stars just below the Orion that till this session I never noticed before. Such a beautiful thing.
