Well I got my Atik 428ex back from the repair shop and I am please to say it works as before. The fan is a quieter as well.

Got a 2 night run of 2 hours or so with it. I have some terrible gradients in one corner and some out of focus problems, so will have to check the alignment of the CCD to the Canon 200mm lens
