One simple Payload Capacity Question

Hi all...

I have very simple question.

If a mount can allow Payload Capacity as 40 lbs in it's specification,

what about for counter weight and bar? 40 lbs includes this too?

You don't include the counterweights.  ie a "40lb" capacity mount can take up to 40lb of scope and accessories.  One point to note is that capacity would be OK for visual observing, for astrophotography the rule of thumb is no more than half the total capacity should be used. .
