Florida observing conditions in November

Hi

Does anyone have experience of observing in south east Florida in late November? Just wondering if we should be thinking of seeking out any local events or bringing something portable when we head that way.

There are a couple of people on SGL from Florida but not not read anything of theirs recently.

There are a good number of astro clubs in Florida it seems:

May be worth emailing a contact in two or three of the clubs and making enquiries concerning events and places to go to. Seems that clubs out there often have an observatory area and ground for observing from. There are a few observatories around, one at Boca Raton and one at Fort Myers, also Sunrise East of Fort Laurderdale and one at Miami. The clubs may be aware of what the access is like to these.

Now if I recall and you are any good at searching, about 8 to 12 months back someone in Miami posted about local astronomers meeting up for a breakfast meet at a coffee shop (deli) in Miami. If you can dig it out that is something to try for. Also the person is a possible contact.
