Patrick Moore's new book!!

I was doing some research last night while capturing some comet data and came across this new book The Sky Above Us: Astronomy for Teenagers. Has anyone read it yet?

What an extraordinary thing to say - Patrick wrote several books in conjunction with other people, should they too have stood on their own two feet and on their own merits? Perhaps Patrick wanted a particular kind of input that Trudie was able to supply? I haven't read the book, I didn't know that it had been published until I saw the advert so I can't comment on what her contribution may have been but knowing Patrick, I doubt he would have entered into a collaboration without good reason?

Reading the background on Amazon, the book certainly has SPM's imprimatur and was planned by him to be co-authored with Ms Rayner. It's been out since May 2014 so hopefully has already been enthusing its target audience.

My thought was could they not have located an image with less CA on it.

She was likely in a position she could not win.

Put SPM first and it does look a bit odd, put him second and she is pushing him to the background..
