Mercury / Venus Conjunction, Finally - Jan 16th

YES!!!! Finally, on the last day that they both fit in my 80ED scope field of view, I captured the Mercury & Venus conjunction. Not as close as they were a few days ago, but I've had nothing but clouds in the South East each night until today. This is the full frame of the Nikon D50 DSLR sensor, so by tomorrow, they will be off the edge. I've had some great clear days in the last week, but towards Sun set, clouds, or rain, or a snow storm has spread across the Sun set area, blocking everything from view.

A single shot through the 80ED scope from the bedroom window. In the original file at 100%, both planets can be seen in their phases, Venus almost full, and Mercury half phase.
