Finder-Guider?

Recommended Posts

I've just bought a Celestron 9.25 (on an existing CGEM) and very pleased I am too!

The 9 x 30 (?) finder scope is quite good and it seems it would make a decent guider.  And thereby avoid the need for another finder scope.

Two questions if anyone can help...

What's the focal length of the finder lens?  (I use a CoStar to guide and the scope's FL is ~1,480 mm with a 0.63 reducer fitted).

and...

What's the screw thread of the eyepiece plate or the actual eyepiece socket?

It that last question that really stops me.  I don't recognise those threads and none of my adapters fit.

Suggestions?

Regards

Tony
