The moon on the last day of 2014

Shot with Celestron Astromaster 130, Canon 600D with a x2 Barlow. 

Only got this scope at Christmas, any tips to make my photos better?

That is a very good shot. Well done. Is it a single frame, or did you take multiple images and stack them?

That is a nice start. stacking and /or sharpening with the wavelet function within Registax 6 (Free software) is quite good. agree taking more imgaes and stacking does improve the chance of getting some clean air when shooting. Also allow your target to be quite central in terms of position in the sky in relation to yourself (means you are shooting through less of the atmosphere).
