39º Northen Hemisphere - comets!

I was wondering IF you could point out some comets for me to look for! Im based in Portugal @ a 39º!

Hi Jazz.

This website http://cometchasing.skyhound.com gives you a good list of the visible comets and conveniently has a listing for those at 40° which is pretty close to you and I at 39°. It also has star charts available to locate them.

Currently there is Comet Lovejoy being the star of the show in the southern sky but there are 4 comets in total within reach of small telescopes.

This thread also should hopefully explain how to add comets to stellarium if you want to.
