schroeding
I am investigating the question of alternative software options due to my slight disappointment with one particluar astronomy software product which I've used for years ( and whose name I omit here ) . The makers of the product in question seems to have abandoned the sky projection that I liked and offered only "stereographic projection" as the nearest equivalent, which I most definitely do not like. Unfortunately, I cannot be certain of which style I formerly used (since my old Mac is dead and I cannot access the old software), but from a little research it appears that what I was familiar with was either "equal area" (lambert azimuthal equal area) or "fish eye" (azimuthal equidistant). Therefore I want to find out which company offers such projection.
NickK
The SkyX (at least the professional version) offer a couple of modes of projection.
