Transportation Solutions for A Paramount MX

Recommended Posts

Until last year a company called ScopeGuard produced a container for these mounts. They've since gone under. I've emailed Bisque a few times to see if they've found a new supplier, but to no avail. Certainly there's a company doing this sort of work somewhere....?

Id contact any instrument / Pro audo / stage prodcution equipment Flight Case manufacturers its the same thing, and a far more common application so probably does not have the "Astronomical" price tag. although a well made case will still not be cheap.

Clydesdale Cases in Pickering Ontario Canada just provided a price of $350 CAD for a MX+ case.

Internal dimensions 25.75 x 24 x 13 (same size a the Bisque shipping foam), equal top & bottom halves, heavy duty with handles, no wheels.

I am ready to order one for my MX+.

There is nothing like a nice case to put your gear in but,,,I have a PMX and a Ford F-150. All the space for cases in the world. I originally put my MX in a big tool box from Home Depot. Got tired of hauling that case around. Now I just put the MX on a bath towel on the backseat floor of the truck. It's as happy as can be. If you are hauling your MX in your vehicle trunk, I'd try the bath towel first and spend the money on a nice eyepiece. I would only get a case if you have to get a case.
