Some Astrotrack shots M31 & M45

Hi all,

I've not been able to get out for a decent  imaging session due to a combination of work commitments and poor weather.  So to get a quick fix, I've put the Astrotrac into service to get an odd half hour here and there.

I am using a modded Canon 1100D with a Pentax 150mm 6x7 lens. My tripod isn't the best but have the manfroto junior geared head to help me get everything polar aligned.  Decent tripod is on the Chrimbo list :-)

First up is M31 60 * 30 second subs at ISO 1600.  Didn't have good polar alignment on this so there is a bit of field rotation and I left the lens at f2.8 so the star shapes are a bit off too - oops out of practice

Once I'd learn't the lessons from my first outing, manage to have a better stab at things on M45.  20 * 2 minute shots at ISO 800.  Not the best images but satisfying non the less for just being able to get out and grab some images.

 Cheers All

John
