Comet Jacques new attempt with old data

This was really a Frankenstein attempt a month or so ago with various ISO and exposure lengths as I had no idea what I was doing as imaging a comet was a new experience.

Anyway this was with my 150PDS, EQ5, CANON 600D, STACKED IN DSS IN STARS AND COMET STACKING MODE. AND PS CC.

Nice work, did you do anything in particular to get the DSS stars + comet mode to work please? I've tried lots of options but without success.

Hi, no I just put my files in as normal all on median setting for the calibration frames and I use kappa-sigma for the lights and it worked fine, I used DSS version 3.3.4. I tried all 3 types of comet stacking and each produced ok images even though my data is limited and at different exposures and ISO's. I put it down to beginners luck. Sorry I cant help much, I hope you get it working.

Thanks, that's useful to know as it seems to indicate that DSS doesn't like my subs for some reason rather than the options I've selected.
