Nice image how many subs did you take? and what iso and exposure time did you use?

Very nice. I was on this target last night myself - lovely clear sky here for a change. Looks like your ISO was higher than what I used (800) judging by the amount of noise.  Just about to start processing mine now!

Thanks for the comments.  This was from 13 lights and 20 flats; unfortunately I messed up with the darks (left the camera in AV mode, the timer was taking long images but the camera only took 1/15s!) which is why it's so noisy.   The lights were 5 minute exposures at ISO800.  This was actually taken two nights ago.

Here's a version in colour, the centre is blown and it's probably a little *too* processed, but it's getting there.  I'm using this to learn how to process the images :-)
