Think this is very smart, a 3D animation of the Lagoon nebula. The author is completely up front that their assumptions about the distance to its features may not be entirely accurate, but it does a great job of showing depth.

You're welcome. There are three more here, here and here. This one of IC1396 with the Elephant Trunk in it is my favorite.

You can see how the radiation pressure from the newly formed stars has pushed away the gas and dust, leaving behind a cavity we can see into. This is why only a small fraction of the materiel in a nebula forms into stars before the nebula is dispersed.
