Hi All .

Many thanks for the welcome from one and all.  My we wish clear skies and good spotting to all

now we have set up our sky watcher 114mm scope and just bought the Celestron filter pack which is a great improvement already.

Last night we got a quick glimpse of the moon which was amazing under poor conditions we were looking at it with the new filter and lenses.  After much discussion and looking up a

few bits online, the Mrs has asked if there's any way we can get a better look at some of the planets and galaxy with our 114mm scope.  Any advice will much welcome.

Clear skies to all and thank you

Hi and welcome to SGL and the hobby!  I'm sure you'll have a lot of enjoyment from your new 'scope and the folks around here will be only too pleased to offer advice and help when needed..  "no question is too stoopid, no answer is definitive" !

Clear skies to you!
