I was one of several hundreds of people to stay up and try to photograph the Lunar Prospector impact. It was great fun, staying up until 3 am with a camera aimed afocal at the Moon, but we didn't see a thing. Zip, zilch, nada. Big spectrographs like Keck, CFHT and Gemini got great spectra, but we got nothin' but an hour or so of the southern highlands.

Would I do it again? In a heart beat! :D
