dec adjustment

hi my dec adjustment fine tuner is very stiff if i turn it i feel like i might break it please help skywatcher 130 eq2

Are you adjusting it "unloaded" ie without any weights or scope mounted ?.

I believe most of the problems people come across with the Dec adjuster problems relate to people adjusting the bolt under full load.The bolt is just not strong enough for this.

no its loaded.

just fixed it i took off the adjuster and unscrewed the threaded nut,inside there is a kind of spindle with a spring inside it. this slides into the big threaded nut on the top.the spindle had come out and when i was trying to adjust it it wasnt sliding back into the the big nut it was hitting the bottom of it so the more i tried to adjust the dec it just got tighter if you know what i mean.the spanner provided with the scope doesnt fit either. any way im happy again even though its cloudy outside.
