Combining 2 images of different exposure lengths

This is, in part, a response to a post from about a month ago by (Roy) GingerNut regarding compositing different length exposures.

There is a tutorial using PhotoShop <a href="http://www.astropix.com/HTML/J_DIGIT/LAYMASK.HTM" target="_blank">here</a> but I wanted to use PaintShop Pro. As I couldn't find a PSP tutorial anywhere I wrote my <a href="http://uk.geocities.com/carter.s.j@btinternet.com/Compositing.htm">own</a>. (My website is "work in progress").

The process is quite lengthy but I think it works.

This is the resulting image. With more patience I'm sure that it can be improved.
