LL DSO catch-July 24

The brief session after dusk including 2 PNe eg old favourite M27 and nearby but v.faint Abell 68 [not recorded - Sloan image top left]  - it hints at the blue central star - and 3 globulars in M15, remote NGC 7006 in Del at 135K LY that includes even remoter background gxs and satellite pass and old favorite M56 in Lyra.

A mix of raw single exposure of 15s and stacked [mean] 10s-15s exp as noted in image footer.  M15 core too easily burnt out hence 5s exp seemed best.  Used obsy 30cm f/3.6 SCT+SX Lodestar-Mx2 camera.  Hope they are of interest :police:

Great stuff Maurice - you have definably got the nack of capturing the globs - I use far to long an exposure so next time I am out I am going to try the shorter exposure time too as I always wash the core out.

I have my Altair 6" RC (reduced to F4.5) ready for action now so just waiting for a clear night when I am not too tired
