How to do Solar Imaging

Probably a bit late now, but to get the most out of the sun i prefer a fast frame camera and stack. I haven't got your lodestar or QHY5 but I imagine the QHY can pump out more frames than a DSLR or the Atiks. You'll obviously get more resolution with the larger cameras but at the cost of detail via stacking. I would have gone with a webcam through the ed80. I use my ASI120 with the Coranado at 400mm. It's a tiny chip but at 30-40fps I can stack 2000 frames+.

Nothing wrong with how you're doing it though! The results are decent so far!
