Seeing The Milky Way, Dartmoor UK

Recommended Posts

From a dark site, you could have decent views before this but in the middle of the night.

Late July and onwards is good for me. ==when it goes dark.

August is generally suberb over here across the water.

With a million stars to impress anyone.

Assuming you have a dark sky, anytime from late July (when we start to get real darkness) to about late September, then again in winter from Dec onwards, depending on when you go out to view.

Having said all that, it's from long-ago memory, been more years than I care to think about since I saw the Milky Way.

Go and have a look at it now, may not be high but it is North and East mainly so from up by Yelverton Golf Club it is to opposite direction to Plymouth.for any light coming from there. Take the road at the golf club to Crapstone and it is dark and flat between there and Yelverton itself. Very good place for the Milky Way.
