Mars 25.05.2014

Hi there,

This is an image I drew of Mars last night. I used a TMB Planetary II 6mm giving 250x view in my 12 inch scope. The image was drawn between 9:30 - 9:56 UT and was done using unfiltered view, # 82A and #11, #12 filters.

I am looking for constructive criticism as I have only done sketching of Mars for 5 sessions now. My images seem to be too 'blocky', showing rough shapes rather than subtle detail. I guess that will come with practice and time? It is also copied up from my notebook which I took out last night, but I am having particular trouble getting the features and scale right when copying it up. Any advice appreciated!

Thanks

John
