Modified DSLR

Does anyone have one of the modified DSLR's from cheapastrophotography.co.uk?

If so, how do you find them for normal day-to-day photography?

only took a few pictures, but the custom colour balance seems to be Ok
I'm no photographer so I'm sure others can better advise

Interesting, I'm actually hoping to us it for general photography and taking pictures of my reef tank (which is a bit more tricky) as well as astrophotography.

I bought mine for Astronomy use, but to take some snaps now and again
as of now I don't have a standard lens, I borrowed a lens just to try the camera out

Did you try it out under daylight or in the house? I wonder if artificial light might effect the image?

indoors and outdoors

I tried it in the daylight setting outdoors and as expected the images were red shifted (a definite pink tinge)
but in the custom colour balance the images were good enough for what I want and the colours looked good

with no pink tinging so I'm happy enough and think the extra cost of the Baader was justified (Esp to the Mrs)

now if these clouds would kindly b***** off I could maybe get out and actually use the camera

If its any consolation it's quite a nice night here but I don't have the kit to do anything!
